(AllHipHop News) It comes as no surprise that Beyoncé’s latest musical effort Lemonade lands in the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 album chart. The project totaled 653,000 equivalent album units (485,000 pure sales) in its first week.

At the moment, Lemonade has earned the biggest first week sales numbers of 2016. That accomplishment will more than likely be topped next week when the official numbers for Drake’s VIEWS are announced.
Besides Beyoncé, another debut broke into the top 10 of the 200 chart. A$AP Ferg has the second-highest first-week totals with his sophomore studio LP Always Strive And Prosper. The Harlem rapper moved 35,000 units and 22,000 in actual sales. The collection will open in the #8 spot.
The late Prince is still occupying much of the top 10. The Very Best of Prince fell from #1 to #2, and Purple Rain sits at #3. The music legend’s The Hits/The B-Sides (#4), Ultimate (#6), and 1999 (#7) are all among the best-selling albums in the country over the last week.
