(AllHipHop News) Podcaster Taxstone remains in jail, but many people continue to lobby for his release. One of those people is rapper friend Casanova.
Can has the streets on fire with his street hit “Don’t Run,” which has been one of the most popular songs in the era of the “new New York.”
Casanova 2X has crafted a new song called “Tax Letter,” which borrows from Jay Z’s “Song Cry.”
“Dear Beloved, how you holding up? We still moving, we ain’t slowing up,”Casanova raps, “With you was right here rollin’ up, I got songs with Chris Brown, I’m blowin up.” The controversial New York radio host had his day in court on January 17, over his alleged involvement in a deadly shooting at Irving Plaza last May involving rapper Troy Ave. Police arrested Taxstone on January 16, at his aunt’s house in Brooklyn, accusing the popular podcaster of various weapons violations.
AllHipHop’s D-Nellz talked to Casanova about the Taxstone matter and gave his thoughts.
“I’d rather not speak about the situation. But, Tax going to jail, I witness everybody going to jail. I witnessed me going to jail. I witnessed everybody going to jail and, to me, I’m just immune to it,” Casanova said. “Jail is what you have to go through in life once you are on the other side. Once you are walking in the ‘street [life],’ you have to go to jail. Its like premeditated in your head. I talk to Tax all the time. He not down, he not sad. Sometimes I get sad, but you gotta man up. You gotta shake it off.”
