Mobb Deep’s ‘Survival Of The Fittest’ Will Be Remixed For The NBA Playoffs

ESPN HAS TEAMED UP WITH THE QUEENS DUO!

Mobb Deep has always made anthems for the streets. Now one of their songs will serve as an anthem to one of the biggest sports shows on television. The Queensbridge duo’s “Survival of the Fittest” track from their 1995 album The Infamous is getting revamped and will be the opening clip for NBA Countdown during the Western Conference Finals, MTV reports.

“We would like to thank ESPN for choosing our record and for making it the anthem of one of the most important U.S. sports events of the year,” Havoc said in a statement. “We were absolutely excited to deliver a remix version of this classic and a visual to accompany the opening of NBA Countdown.”

It will debut on either May 17th or 19th, depending on how the current series last. NBA Countdown is hosted by retired NBA star Jalen Rose, former NBA coach Doug Collins and Sage Steele.
