Soul singers Carmen Rodgers and Anthony David have joined forces for a euphoric, and mostly acoustic ballad. The pair have also served up some hot and steamy visuals to accompany the track. “Charge” is a single from Rodgers’ third studio album, Stargazer. Rodgers and David find themselves playing the role of lovers who also seem to be soul mates. Rodgers’ soft rasp meets David’s velvety and gritty soul for an engaging love song. This is a refreshing musical moment in a day where much of new R&B lacks love. Rodgers will also be featured on the new Foreign Exchange album, Tales from the Land of Milk and Honey. She is a featured vocalist and songwriter on several of the album’s tunes. The album drops August 21.
