Before Eminem became the most album selling-est rapper of his generation, he was a teen dad dreaming of success and hoping for a way out of Detroit’s cold-hearted streets. Few people outside of the Motortown knew the trailer park emcee with the gift of lyricism when he was catching wreck as one half of the group, Bad Meets Evil. Some rare pics have surfaced today (October 17th) to mark the rapper’s 48th birthday that showcase what Eminem was like prior to selling over 100 million records during his 20-plus year career. In one picture, Em is dressed in a pink T-shirt, dark brown tousled hair, and with a cute young child, assumed to be his daughter Hailey on his lap, the “Rap God” is cutting a birthday cake. The cake is sweetly decorated with customary “Pathmark” designs and candles whole his lips crack and an even sweeter smile. Many kids who look to him as one of the best rappers to ever rock the mic were shocked to see the 1990 photo that is proof positive that the white emcee was young once.
