HARRY BELAFONTE’S SANKOFA ORGANIZATION IS HOSTING THE MUSIC, ART & ACTIVISM EVENT IN GEORGIA

(AllHipHop News) Harry Belafonte’s Sankofa organization is hosting the upcoming Many Rivers To Cross Festival in Georgia.

The two-day event is dedicated to addressing racial and social justice and will feature appearances by musicians, activists, scholars, and comedians.

A description on the Sankofa website reads:

This October 1 and 2, Sankofa will host the inaugural “Many Rivers To Cross” Social Justice Music and Arts Festival. Taking place in Chattahoochee Hills, GA (just outside of Atlanta) “Many Rivers To Cross” is set to be the largest music and arts festival dedicated to social justice.

“Many Rivers To Cross” will feature many top artists and celebrities—including Jesse Williams, John Legend, Common, Estelle, Dave Matthews, Michelle Alexander, Dr. Cornel West, Carlos Santana, Danny Glover, comedian/actor Chris Rock, Public Enemy, and more—as well as bring together thought-leaders, activists and communities around today’s most pressing human rights issues.
