(AllHipHop News) J. Cole is the complete opposite of an overnight success and anyone who remotely followed the beginning of his career can tell he had trouble adjusting to delivering commercially viable music.

During his listening session in New York City for his Born Sinner album, Cole broke down the strenuous process of getting Jay-Z’s approval on a single, depression he experienced and how No I.D. broke the news that one of Cole’s biggest idols disapproved of his Sideline Story first single, “Work Out”.
