(AllHipHop News) Nick Cannon can give up the cigarettes and cut the ‘fro, Richard Pryor’s film incarnation has been selected. This past Sunday (August 24th) it was announced that Mike Epps will assume the role of Richard Pryor in the late comedian’s upcoming biopic.
The film’s director, Lee Daniels announced the news on his personal Twitter account with a photo of himself, Oprah Winfrey and Epps. Epps followed suit with a tweet of his own, but his involved a picture of him and Pryor’s widow Jennifer Pryor:

Last month, Nick Cannon was attached to the film and started smoking cigarettes, as well as grow out his hair in order to emulate Pryor. According to reports, Pryor himself chose Epps to play him back in 2005.
