With World’s AIDs Day (December 1) just a few days away, actor and comedian Rodney Perry will be hosting a HIV/AIDs Awareness concert on November 28, to be held at Sidney Marcus Auditorium inside of the Georgia World Congress Center.
With startling high infection rates in metro Atlanta, Georgia has especially been hit hard, currently ranked 4th in regards to the number of new AIDs cases per year. According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC,) almost 60% of youth with HIV do not even know that they have been infected.
Looking to provide useful information within a fun environment, the show will feature performances from We Are Toonz, Chris Scholar, Shun Hendrix, reps from Tyler Perry Studios and more. Serving as the emcee for the event, Perry can also be seen via Bounce TV.
