With the all female comedy horror remake of “Ghostbusters” slated for nationwide theater release on July 15th, it would seem that the summer of 2016 is set to become the year of the paranormal specialist. However if you are more of a purist when it comes to your horror, aka hold the comedy and substitute a dash of real life documented paranormal activity, “The Conjuring 2” might be just what the doctor ordered come June 10, 2016.
“The Conjuring 2” is the highly anticipated follow up to it’s cinematic predecessor “The Conjuring,” which starred Oscar nominee Vera Farmiga (“The Departed”) and Golden Globe nominee Patrick Wilson (“Insidious”) starring as the real life and world renown New England based paranormal investigators Lorraine and Ed Warren.
While “The Conjuring” chronicled actual events surrounding the Wilson’s infamous paranormal investigation for the Perron family on a farm in Harrisburg, Rhode Island, “The Conjuring 2,” takes the Wilson’s work international as it reveals details surrounding their equally well known investigation of a poltergeist in Enfield, England as it’s inspiration.
“The Conjuring 2,” starring Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson and Frances O’Connor is a New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. Pictures film set for nationwide release on June 10, 2016. See the newest trailer here:
