(AllHipHop News) Dance music producer Baauer’s viral hit “Harlem Shake” has taken over YouTube and the Billboard charts, and now the Philadelphia native is taking his #1 single on the road when he teams up with eccentric rapper Danny Brown for the “Worst of Both Worlds” tour.
The “Worst of Both Worlds” title is a play on the ultimately unsuccessful 2004 Jay-Z and R. Kelly “Best of Both Worlds” co-headlining tour.
The 9-city Baauer-Brown trek will begin April 9th in Houston, and will continue until the pair hit the Coachella Music and Arts Festival on April 20th.
Baauer (born Harry Rodrigues) released the single “Harlem Shake” in May of 2012, but it didn’t become a breakout hit until the song was incorporated into an Internet video meme in February of this year.
Since then over 200,000 versions of the dance craze has been uploaded to YouTube including takes by the University of Georgia Men’s swim team, the Miami Heat players, and the news team at KSLA in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Baauer will be joined by Detroit-based emcee Danny Brown. Brown grabbed the attention of music fans and critics with his 2011 album XXX, and his video for “Grown Up” was placed on several “best of ” lists in 2012. He was also recently featured on A$AP Rocky’s 7-rapper posse cut “1 Train” off LONG.LIVE.A$AP.
