(AllHipHop News) State Property ringleader and Ruffhouse Records/EMI-signed rapper Beanie Sigel has announced that he will be embarking a “Pre-Prison Tour” in support of his new project new project, This Time.
According to a statement from Ruffhouse Records, Beanie Sogel will be heading to New York and out west to California, while several other dates are expected to be added to tour.
The “Pre-Prison Tour” will also feature appearances on NBC’S Late Night Show with Jimmy Fallon, BET’s 106 & Park, and several media appearances to promote the album and new single, “The Reunion”.
On the new single, Beanie Sigel brings together his former State Property group of Omillio Sparks, Young Chris, Peedi Crakk, and Freeway, previously assembled on Roc-A-Fella Records.
“The Reunion” samples Sly & the Family Stone’s “You Can Make It If You Try”, and received airplay during its first radio week at major urban stations like Hot 97 in New York, Power 99 in Philadelphia, WPWX in Chicago, and Sirius Shade 45 and Hip Hop Nation.

“It’s real life stories,” Beanie explained. “People go through things and that’s the music that I make. My music is honest. You have a lot of dudes that live the façade. They start falling to the character that they are portraying in the music. I don’t do that.”
Two weeks after the release, Beanie Sigel aka the “Broad Street Bully” will go to federal prison to begin serving a two-year sentence.
“Regardless of his unfortunate situation, Beanie has created a tremendous body of work that is totally worthy of the Ruffhouse name,” says CEO of Ruffhouse Records, Chris Schwartz. “He stands tall among all the major MCs and he’s revered by all hip-hop aficionados around the world. We’re extremely proud to be re-launching Ruffhouse Records with Beanie Sigel as our first artist.”
