(AllHipHop News) In just a few short years, Nicki Minaj’s career has transcended radio and retail, and now, fans can add television to her resume.
The Queens-born rapper had the rumor mill buzzing recently with speculation of a reality show or two on the horizon; however, E! News confirms the “Starships” rapper is going to be featured in a trilogy of specials beginning in November.
The shows will give viewers private access into Minaj’s professional and personal life, with never seen before footage. She allowed MTV this same access in 2010 with “My Time Now.”
Minaj caught up with MTV news earlier in the week and described why doing “American Idol”was so important for her.
“It’s a milestone for me; it’s a milestone for hip-hop; it’s a milestone for young black women,” Minaj said. “Has there ever been a black woman [judging] on the show? This is a show that 20 million people watch, so I feel like we should be represented on that show and I’m very proud of my decision to do it.”
