(AllHipHop News) Atlanta rapper Young Jeezy recently brought his CTE roster to Miami, Florida, for several performances and club appearances, in addition to recording tracks for the upcoming It’s The World compilation album.
Tone Trump and Wink Loc sat down with AllHipHop.com to give some insight into the recording process with Young Jeezy.
“Some people want to club, some people want to studio, Tone is like studio, Tone’s like ‘we’ll get to the club later,'” Wink Loc told AllHipHop.com. “Snow [Jeezy] is like that too. Snow comes in, does a hook and be like ‘it’s y’all go.’ The beat plays, five minutes we’ll have a hook, we’ll all go and then he’ll have a verse. He’ll probably have a verse before all of us.”
According to Tone Trump, the CTE roster, which includes himself, Freddie Gibbs, Boo Rossini, Slick Pulla, 211, Scrilla and others, recorded numerous songs for It’s The World, although the final track listing is still being whittled down.
“For the album we have countless records, we don’t even know which ones are going to make the album,” Tone Trump said. “We represent the up North side of things, but CTE, we have artists from the West Coast and down South.
Tone Trump is dropping a mixtape titled “The New Fresh Prince” on July 31, while Wink Loc working on his new mixtape called “Blue Steel .38 Special.”
There is no confirmed release date for It’s The World.
