(AllHipHop News) B.G.’s sentencing date for weapons possession and witness tampering has been postponed once again. B.G., born Christopher Dorsey, faces 8 to 10 years in prison, over a November 2009 incident. The rapper, once an artist on Cash Money Records, was caught in a stolen car with two other individuals. In addition to the stolen car, police found three loaded weapons and two extended clips. BG and an associate named Jerod Fedison are also accused of attempting to bribe 19-year-old Demounde Pollard, into taking the charges for both men since, he had a clean criminal record. The sentence, which is already been postponed, twice is due to take place in July 18. Prosecutors are calling for a lengthy sentence. Fedison has already been sentenced to 25 years in prison for his role in the crimes.
Fans of El-P will be treated to a rare show in New York this July. El-P, formerly of Company Flow and founder of Def Jux, will hit the stage with Mr. Muthafuckin eXquire, Despot at Irving Plaza. Atlanta rapper Killer Mike will also be performing tracks from his album “c” with El-P during the event. El-P’s show at Irving Plaza takes place on July 13.
A variety of rappers and celebrities came out for the premiere party of VH1’s reality spinoff series “Love & Hip Hop.” Cast members like Erica Dixon, Lil Scrappy, Mimi Faust, Karlie Redd, Joseline Hernandez, Momma Dee, Stevie, Rasheeda and executive producer Mona-Scott Young were all in attendance. Over 300 guests previewed the debut episode at Frank Ski’s, a popular Atlanta restaurant named after the V-103 radio personality.
