(AllHipHop News) After a 6 week hiatus from posting to his official twitter account, Lupe Fiasco returned to the social media site this month, and last night the emcee sent out a rare tweet announcing that he is now the new creative director of the Chicago-based wellness company higi.
I’m happy to announce I’ve come aboard as Creative Director with @higi the wellness score helping Americans live better!

higi’s service provides users with a real-time “higi score” that measures health vitals like weight, body mass index, and blood pressure as well as lifestyle choices like the food you eat, where you live, and your physical activity.
higi also uses Facebook interactions as one way to factor in your personal relationships with friends and family as an important part of your overall well-being.
After considering an individual’s particular body, lifestyle, and community scores, the final “higi score” then allows users to determine what changes they may need to make in order to make better decisions about their long-term health.
higi’s product designer and senior sartorial advisor, Justin Rodriguez, sent out a congratulatory tweet to Lupe early this morning.
Its cool to go from being a fan of your music to now having you on our team @lupefiasco. Welcome to @higi! Let’s do this.

higi nor Lupe revealed exactly what role the Chicago emcee will play in his position as creative director, but Lupe has already began promoting the company.
He changed his Twitter avatar to the higi logo, and sent a tweet to his 1.3 million followers announcing that higi will be debuting a new mobile application at this weekend’s South By Southwest Festival in Austin Texas.

higi will also be providing free stations at several locations throughout Austin, and CEO Khan Siddiqui is scheduled to speak at the “Future 15” session on March 10th at the Hilton Austin Downtown.
If you can’t make it to SXSW 2013, higi also has kiosks located throughout the eastern half of the country.
Beside joining up with higi, Lupe also returned to the music scene this week when he dropped the new song “Light Blue.”
The Atlantic Records artist released his last album, Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1, last September. The LP received a Grammy award nomination for Best Rap Album.
