(AllHipHop News) Cleveland rapper Machine Gun Kelly is responding to criticism over a recent performance at a Microsoft store, in Atlanta, Georgia.
The rapper was performing for The Source Power 30 reception at the Microsoft Store in Lenox Square Mall on Friday (September 28).
During the rapper’s performance of the track “Hold On (Shut Up),” Machine Gun Kelly hopped on a display table and began cursing.
The rapper was asked to leave the store after the performance, which was caught on video and quickly went viral.
“Last Friday, I was asked to perform at The Source’s Power 30 reception and honored to do so,” Machine Gun Kelly said in a statement released today (October 3). “My only goal was to give a great performance.”
The rapper denied published reports that he stomped on as many as five computers on the display table-turned stage, while he was rhyming.
“Contrary to what is being reported by the media, I did not stomp on any computers, damage any store property nor were the police called on my behalf,” Machine Gun Kelly said. “There was some confusion as to where I should perform. But, in the end, it was all resolved. I’d like to thank The Source for the opportunity and let the people at Microsoft know I meant no disrespect.”
