(AllHipHop News) When No Limit CEO and Hip-Hop mogul Master P came to Louisville for the Kentucky Derby, he didn’t just come to play the odds on horses, he came to help the odds of inner city youth in Louisville.
In addition to enjoying the horse racing festivities of the “Bluegrass State,” Master P took time to support the youth with a free basketball clinic for kids ages 6-14 called the No Limit Forever Compassion Basketball Camp.
It should come as no surprise that the “Make Em Say Uh” rapper took time to give back to inner city youth via basketball.
Many Hip-Hop fans will remember Master P was a member of the Charlotte Hornets during training camp of the 1998-99 season, and during the 1999-2000 season Master P played exhibition ball for the Toronto Raptors.
In addition, his son Romeo Miller played college ball at USC, so the values and benefits of basketball are ingrained in the Miller family.

Although the camp was centered around the game of basketball, the focus was giving back to inner city children by coaching them on the skills needed to succeed in life.
Seeking to bolster the Louisville inner city community, Master P showed support for victims of violence in the community like Erica Hughes, the 9-year-old Louisville girl who was shot in the head during a 2006 robbery.
In addition to the camp, Master P hosted the Master P Birthday Bash at Cole’s Place, a venue that was previously stricken with violence and a venue Master P wanted to encourage those in the community to continue to support.
“I’m glad to be a part of this. We’re talking about compassion [and] talking about the game of life, you know this is for real. This is for our families, this is for our kids because education is so important,” Master P told Louisville’s WHAS News 11. “The kids are not only learning basketball up in the classroom, they’re learning the important game of life.”
