(AllHipHop News) The “he said, they said” involving Miguel’s stage dive at last month’s Billboard Music Awards has officially begun. Producers of the awards show claim they told Miguel not to attempt his jump over a crowd during his performance, but members of Miguel’s camp say that’s not true.
“The reports claiming that Miguel was warned by producers not to jump are completely false,” the R&B singer’s rep told Us Weekly.
TMZ reported yesterday that BBMA’s producers warned Miguel the stage dive would be too dangerous and Miguel ignored their warning.

TMZ is now reporting that sources close to Miguel say not only did producers never give a warning not to jump, but that Miguel practiced the jump twice during rehearsals and producers mentioned getting a good shot of the leap for the live show.
Miguel attempted the move during his performance of “Adorn” that night. As a result a fan by the name of Khyati Shah was leg dropped and is now undergoing neurological tests to see if she received brain damage from the incident.

“A number of attempts were made to reach Khyati and her lawyer after the performance to see how she was doing and whether any assistance could be offered,” says Miguel’s rep. “Khyati’s well-being has been and continues to be of the utmost concern to Miguel.”
