(AllHipHop News) Renowned Hip-Hop producer Prince Paul has announced the release date for his new project Negroes On Ice.
The album was created with his son P. Forreal and features Prince Paul as the producer.
Negroes On Ice is about a father and son who learn to relate to each other through Hip-Hop music.
“I never knew my son was this creative,” Prince Paul said. “I never paid attention to his music, his DJing, and writing. But once I did, I was like ‘Wow, it would be cool to do something together.'”
The result was the concept album Negroes On Ice, which features the first single and video “Textual Healing.”
“My dad taught me how to do things, how to record, but at the same time he might tell me to go do the dishes after a recording session,” P. Forreal added.
Prince Paul is no newcomer to Hip-Hop, or comedy, having produced several Grammy award-winning albums for Chris Rock, including the single “No Sex in the Champagne Room.”
Additionally, Prince Paul has produced groundbreaking albums by Stetsasonic, De La Soul, Gravediggaz, Souls of Mischief, 3rd Bass and others.
Negroes On Ice is due online on October 2, while a physical version will be released on October 16.
