(AllHipHop News) Spoken word legend Saul Williams will be performing at a styld.by event at the West 34th Street GAP store in New York City on September 5th. The showcase is sponsored by GAP, Fader, Eater, Mashable and Refinery29.
Besides hearing poetry from Williams, attendees can enjoy a T-shirt Airbrushing Station, a dessert bar, and a Mashforce Tweet Wall. GAP will also offer 30% discounts on purchases.
Williams has been one of the leading voices in spoken word poetry for over a decade. His past albums include 2001’s Amethyst Rock Star, 2004’s Saul Williams, and 2011’s Volcanic Sunlight.
The 41-year-old performer has also been featured on tracks with Janelle Monáe (“Dance or Die”) and Blackalicious (“Release”). Williams also starred in the independent film Slam which won the Grand Jury Prize for a Dramatic Film at the Sundance Film Festival in 1998.
