(AllHipHop News) Veteran rapper Snoop Lion (formerly Snoop Dogg) has become one of the latest celebrities to team up with the Voices Against Violence campaign. VAV is a project founded by legendary singer Tony Bennett, his son Danny Bennett, and the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence.
The mission of Voices Against Violence is to urge citizens to contact their representatives in Congress and tell them to support new gun safety laws.
“Supporting the safety of our country through common sense gun laws is an issue that crosses all demographics and brings citizens from divergent backgrounds together in this important cause. I am so appreciative that Snoop Lion has added his voice to Voices Against Violence,” said Tony Bennett in a statement.
Snoop appears in a video message on the Voice Against Violence’s Facebook page. The L.A. rap icon joins Paul McCartney, Alec Baldwin, Elton John, Jim Carrey, Rachael Ray, Juanes, Alejandro Sanz, Mario Batali, Gloria Estefan, Sting, Josh Groban, k.d. lang, Romeo Santos, Rosie O’Donnell, Ana Carolina, Vicentico, and Mia Farrow as VAV supporters.
