Dom Okon is an American musical artist known for telling a story through his music. His album Youthly does just that, recalling and retelling stories of Okon’s childhood through songs like Rollercoaster Ride, Waiting In Line, and Youthly. On Monday, April 10th, the title track Youthly from the album broke into the iTunes Pop Music Charts peaking at number 74.
The instrumental musical artist is a huge proponent of social media and uses Instagram to promote his music and engage with his fans. Maintaining authenticity and individuality is very important to Dom Okon, and he believes in staying true to himself and not copying anyone else.
“ I like to be authentic because it’s annoying having copycats.” says Okon. Balancing his personal life with his music career is not easy, but Dom Okon is committed to dedicating time to both worlds. “ I’m trying. I definitely want to do my best and give as much time as I can in both aspects of my life.” His long-term aspirations include continuing to create music in the next five to ten years.
The one-year anniversary of Youthly is April 11, 2023.
