Back in February of this year, Los Angeles artist Vandes Jackson dropped his I Apologize project featuring Killah Priest, Sean Kingston and more. Today, hepremieres his new video for “Genius” featuring Malawi native SouthEast! With a collaboration project on the way, we’re looking forward to hearing more of this unique sound.
Directed by Jamie Richards, the video commences with a thunderous drop of an exclusive Vandes Jackson production with an anthemic chord progression. The catchy beat is followed by a verse of enlightenment into the atmospheric space of Vandes’ ambition and creative approach to life.
SouthEast! follows up with an incredible performance encompassing the polyrhythms with guided adlibs, and a gifted approach. “These are my typical studio sessions. The body sculpture is a true work of art. Rockstar Trap Music II is on the way this fall. All of this could only be crafted by a true Genius” said Vandes.
