Atlanta’s own rising powerhouse emcee and personality Akbar V has skyrocketed in the spotlight with provocative lyrics and action-packed punchlines. She’s boasted this fearless, uncensored confidence on and off the screen.
Born and raised in South Atlanta’s historic Cleveland Avenue neighborhood, Akbar was introduced to the streets at inception.
While the city proved to be a breeding ground of difficulty for Akbar, at one point facing a homicide charge and a close encounter with death after a shot to the head, she would eventually decide to make several lifestyle changes that would change her life.
In the beginning of her career, Akbar formed a friendship with Young Thug, which led to the beginning of focusing on her lyricism full time.
The self-proclaimed Queen of Atlanta positions herself above the competition with her raw and rugged lyrics, unique style and soulful approach to music.
Akbar V is making her mark in the entertainment industry and is poised to be a household name.
Solidifying her budding industry career, V landed collaborations with the likes of Nicki Minaj, Icewear Vezzo, Lil Keed, Dave East, 21 Savage, K. Michelle and many more. Akbar also graced our television screens weekly as a cast member of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.
With no signs of slowing down, Akbar has now released a 3-song project titled ‘Free Smoke’ following her smash collaboration with Nicki Minaj on the “Super Freaky Girl” Queen Mix which also features JT, Bia, Katie Got Bandz and Maliibu Miitch.
