The Chicago OG rapper Shorty Sixx has been in the industry for over 12 years now and has recently been recording with new young artists.
Having the opportunity to record with the younger generations is one of his favorite highlights from being in the industry.
“Just being an OG that has been able to record records with Chief Keef, Lil Durk, FBG Duck, Fredo Santana and a lot more of the younger artists.” In the future he hopes to continue creating music with other fresh artists. “I would like to work with Lil Baby, Moneybagg Yo and Rick Ross,” he said.
Though he has had a long successful career in the music industry, Shorty Six isn’t finished. He has an aspiration to help bring new talent into the industry by creating his own recording label.
“In the next five years I see myself running a record label, signing the next big artist, giving back to the world, and making sure my kids and family are straight,” he said.
He also shared some words of encouragement for youth who would like to pursue a career in music.
“My advice would be to never give up, don’t let anyone get in your way and stay out of trouble.”
When Shorty Sixx isn’t in the studio he enjoys spending time with his kids and playing spades.
