Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson turned his attention from scolding Tip “T.I.” Harris for comments he made that seemed to address King Von being killed in Atlanta. Instead, 50 Cent used his Instagram page to take aim at two of his longtime frenemies.
Fellow Hip Hop moguls Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter and Sean “Diddy” Combs became the butts of 50’s latest social media jokes. The G-Unit boss uploaded an old photo of Jay-Z and a more recent video of Diddy. Both men were awkwardly diving into pools.
“Rappers can’t dive or swim. I just haven’t been caught yet. LOL,” wrote 50 in his Instagram caption. A couple of rap stars commented under the post. Both California’s Snoop Dogg and New York’s Jadakiss added laughing face emojis.
50 Cent has a long history of trolling Sean Combs. Over the last decade, the Queens native has stated the Bad Boy Entertainment founder does not make hot music, suggested he was gay, and mocked the Diddy-backed Cîroc vodka brand. Fiddy also suggested his commerical success in the mid-2000s led to Jay-Z retiring from rapping.
Back in January of this year, 50 publicly declared he was done going back-and-forth with other people online. That short-lived resolution was a response to the untimely death of NBA legend Kobe Bryant. 50 wrote at the time, “I feel like I have to achieve what I want in life now after this. I have to focus, I’m not arguing with anyone anymore. I’ll deal with it another way if there’s a problem.”
