50 Cent has
inked a deal with Eminem’s Shady Records. Best known for his "How To Rob"
song in which he robs various rappers, 50’s 2nd major label release will be
distributed by Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment. "I am at the best place
I could possibly be," 50 Cent said. "Creatively this is the spot."
50 has always seemed to be a magnate for controversy,
so the Eminem’s label seems to be a perfect fit. His "How To Rob,"
song drew swift reactions from Big Pun, Ghostface, Jay-Z and others. After being
shot once in each leg and in the jaw in May of 2000, 50 Cent is ready to put
it down. "Anyone who has been following 50 Cent can only imagine what’s
about to go down," 50 continued. 50’s first full length release was 2000’s
Power Of The Dollar. After leaving Tone and Poke’s Trackmaster’s imprint, he
released Guess Who’s Back. He is now preparing his Shady Record’s debut, scheduled
for a fourth quarter release.
"50’s buzz on the street is enormous, he
is in a series zone. 50 is incredibility talented and we are lucky yo have him
on board," said Eminem, who’s The Eminem Show is still sitting on top of
the Billboard top 200. Eminem’s "Without Me" is also number 2 on Billboard’s
Hot 100 and
The LP will feature the production of Eminem,
Dre & others. "50 is one of the hottest out there. The East coast has
known that some time now. I’ m ready to see what he is gonna do," Dr. Dre
added.
