(AllHipHop News) 50 Cent has won a legal battle over the concept of his hit TV drama “Power.”

A Los Angeles judge has dismissed the case, which was brought against the rapper and actor by two writers, who claimed the hit series was a rip off of their play, “Dangerous.”

As in the series, the stage work centers on a drug dealer who goes to great lengths to avoid being prosecuted.

According to TMZ, a representative for the court determined the themes explored in “Dangerous” are not unique enough to prove there was copyright infringement.

“One need only look to such shows and movies as ‘The Wire,’ ‘Empire,’ ‘Breaking Bad,’ ‘Narcos,’ ‘Weeds,’ ‘Carlito’s Way,’ ‘American Gangster,’ ‘New Jack City,’ ‘Scarface’ and ‘Paid in Full’,” the ruling reads.

50 Cent, aka Curtis Jackson, stars in and produces the TV crime drama.
