(AllHipHop News) A Boogie wit da Hoodie’s platinum-certified Hoodie SZN album has surpassed 1.6 billion streams across all platforms. Two hundred million of those plays happened on Audiomack.
The streaming platform celebrated A Boogie with an intimate dinner inside New York City’s Jue Lan Club. Fellow Atlantic Records rapper Roddy Rich and fellow Highbridge representative Don Q were in attendance at the event. In addition, 50 Cent gifted the 23-year-old Bronx native with bottles of Le Chemin Du Roi champagne.
“A Boogie is one of my favorite artists so I’m thrilled that we’re able to honor him with the 200 million streams milestone,” said Audiomack COO Dave Ponte. “We saw in the numbers that he was going to be big when he first started to use the platform. He’s the artist who paved the way for others coming up in New York. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is the first artist to hit a billion streams on Audiomack.”
Hoodie SZN spent three weeks at #1 on the Billboard 200 album chart. A Boogie’s sophomore studio LP hosted the singles “Demons And Angels” featuring Juice WRLD, “Startender” featuring Offset & Tyga, “Swervin” featuring 6ix9ine, and the Michael Jackson-inspired “Look Back At It.”
