The wrongful-death trial of The Notorious B.I.G. Christopher Wallace has been postponed
after it was set to start yesterday (Oct. 5). Spearheaded by mother Voletta Wallace,
the suit alleges the LAPD was partially responsible for the rapper’s murder.
The trial has been rescheduled for April because a key witness was unavailable.
While most people associate the Shakur name with Tupac, the rapper’s younger
sister Sekyiwa is making large entrepreneurial strides forward. She told AllHipHop.com,
“I have a clothing line coming out in the summer called Madame Velli. I
also have an image consulting firm called LBS Styles. And I’m writing a
couple of books.” In addition to a column in Black Elegance magazine, Shakur
said she was writing a book about her intense life experiences.
In a hush ceremony, rapper Juvenile was married to Shadonna Jones on September
4 at the Victory Fellowship Church. The pair had a lavish reception at the Pontchartrain
Center in New Orleans, the rapper’s hometown. Brian McKnight and members
of Juve’s UTP were in attendance.

Texas rapper Chamillionaire has reportedly signed his Chamillitary imprint to
Universal Records, the rapper recently revealed. On his website Chamillionaire.com,
he expressed his happiness. “We just closed the deal and I can honestly
say it’s a lot more than I thought was possible and I got that deal that people
were telling me I wasn’t gonna get. I am confident that the entire Universal
Records staff is 100% behind me and will give me the full push that I need.”
No release date has been set for his major debut, titled Controversy Sells.
Eminem’s upcoming album, Encore, is reportedly going to release
the album with a number of perks to encourage listeners to buy the album. According
to Billboard, the Detroit rep is going to offer full album lyrics, 25 high-gloss
photo inserts, ringtones, and a special “telescoping box.” Encore
is slated to drop November 16 on Shady/Interscope.
