has been hit with a $500,000 lawsuit stemming from an altercation with a DJ in

a Nashville, Tennessee strip Club. DJ Jay Campos, born Jeremy Campos, filed the

lawsuit in Davidson County Court. Kid Rock was arrested in February of 2005, after

he allegedly punched Campos over the selection of music. Local television broadcast

images of Campos leaving Christie’s Cabaret in downtown Nashville, carrying

his broken eyeglasses. Kid Rock was charged with simple assault and was released

on $3,000 bond.

The family of Kelvin “50

Cents” Martin released a statement in regards to the lawsuit filed against

three production companies earlier this month. 50 Cent sued Czar Entertainment,

Vision Plant Pictures and Premo Pictures for trademark infringement over the

use of the 50 Cent logo in the DVD, The Infamous Times: The Original 50

Cent

. 50 Cent claimed Czar reneged on an agreement to make a charitable

donation to Martin’s family or Jackson’s new charitable organization, the G-Unity

Foundation. "I have been in constant touch with Czar Entertainment over

the past year regarding The Infamous Times,” Martin family spokesperson

Patricia Martin said. “I supplied information and pictures from Kelvin’s

childhood and Jimmy [Henchmen] and Czar have kept their word on everything they

promised in return. Czar contributed a headstone for Kelvin’s grave and, based

on the sales of the DVD, we are expecting a donation to be made to our family.

Our relationship with Czar is solid and we do not support Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson’s

allegations of misrepresentation."

In related 50 Cent news,

the rapper’s G-Unity Foundation launched a unique scholarship program

for his former high school and others high schools in Queens, New York. 50’s

giving away a total of 10 scholarships worth $31,000 that will cover a year’s

tuition to Queensborough Community College. Students from 50’s former

high school as well as several others in Queens are eligible. Applicants need

to write a 500 word essay, be recommended by two teachers and maintain at least

a C average.

Ludacris is preparing

to release his first long-form DVD, The Red Light District DVD, a 10-song

concert performance shot in world famous Amsterdam. "I know that the first

thing people think of when they hear ‘Red Light District’ is Amsterdam,"

Ludacris said. "But I’m referring to a state of mind. Where there are no

limitations to what I can say, or I can do." The DVD also features 3 un-cut

unreleased videos and interviews with the women of the Red Light District. The

Red Light District hits stores on July 19th.
