Marc Ecko and Atari announced the lineup of voiceover talent
that will be featured in the new video game “Marc Ecko’s Getting
Up: Contents Under Pressure.” Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, MC Serch,
The RZA, Rosario Dawson, Charlie Murphy and others will add their voice to the
game. “It was important for us to work with talent that would best represent
the eclectic mix of characters found in New Radius," Marc Ecko said in
a statement. "From the beginning, we set out to create a game that provides
consumers with an unbelievable entertainment experience while opening a window
into a sub-culture that has previously been ignored." “Marc Ecko’s
Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure” will be available for Xbox, PS2 and
PC in Autumn.
The life of the Christopher “Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace is coming
to the big screen, as Fox Searchlight has secured the rights to deceased rapper’s
life. Journalist Cheo Hodari Coker has been tapped to write the script of the
movie. Coker wrote B.I.G.’s bio titled "Unbelievable: The Life, Death,
and Afterlife of the Notorious B.I.G." Wallace was gunned down on March
9, 1997 in Los Angeles. The rapper’s former managers Mark Pitts and Wayne
Barrow have signed on to produce the flick.
Indie emcee One.Be.Lo. has added over 60 tour dates and a spot on the Vans Warped
Tour to support his recently released album S.O.N.O.G.R.A.M. Reppin
Pontiac, Michigan, Be.Lo. has found himself on the road since January, but has
realized the importance of touring. “I view touring as a way of life,
not a job,” he says. “The best way to promote myself is to stand
in front of an audience and give them the whole package; audio, visual, my personality,
etc.” Be.Lo. is the first officially signed artist on Fat Beats Records
and originally came up as a member of the group Binary Star. They released a
critically acclaimed independent album called Master of the Universe.
One. has also been busy establishing his own label called Subterraneous Records.
Jay-Z and Kayne West are heading to Toronto, Canada to tape an exclusive edition
of the “Live@Much” series. VJ Rick Campanelli will conduct a live
interview with Jay-Z, Kanye West and new Rocafella artists Rihanna and Teairra
Mari. The interview takes place July 29th at 8pm. Viewers will be able to phone
in questions for the superstar rappers via email, text and phone.
