Geffen and Interscope have
moved Snoop Dogg’s upcoming album R&G: Rhythm & Gangsta The Masterpiece
up a week, due to internet leaks and bootlegging. The album will now be released
on the November 16th, the same day as another Interscope release, Eminem’s Encore.
Sources stated that Interscope may be planning to reshuffle Eminem’s release
as well, moving it up as they did with his previous two albums due to internet
leaks and bootlegging.
Rock The Bells at Holiday
Havoc will take place Saturday November 13th in Anaheim, California. The annual
event boasts a line up this year that includes A Tribe Called Quest, Xzibit,
Cypress Hill, Little Brother, Jaylib and the Jurassic 5. Last year’s Rock The
Bells event featured the Reunion of The Wu-Tang Clan, which was recently released
as a CD and DVD titled "Disciples of the 36 Chambers."
Rapper Cormega has re-released
two of his classic albums, The Realness and The True Meaning.
The limited edition includes a trailer from his upcoming DVD, several new songs
and a sneak preview from the rapper’s highly anticipated unreleased album, Testament.
Testament was recorded while the rapper was signed to an ill-fated
deal with Violator/Def Jam. The album hits stores February 22nd on Mega’s own
Legal Hustle Records. Cormega fans have been buzzing about collaboration with
Tupac Shakur that surfaced on his official website, www.cormegasite.com.
The Hip-Hop heavy Now
17
compilation is expected to take the #1 spot on Billboard’s Top 200 Popchart next week. According to trade magazine Hits, the album is on track to
move 350,000 copies in the first week. The album features songs from Jadakiss,
Nelly, J-Kwon, Black Eyed Peas, Beastie Boys, Terror Squad and others.
