An Emmy Award winning
makeup artist has dropped her $25 million dollar lawsuit against Snoop Dogg
that claimed the rapper and several men in his entourage raped her. Kylie Bell
claimed that she was incapacitated after drinking what she was told was champagne
in Snoop’s dressing room during a taping of “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”
According to the Associated Press, Snoop also dropped a $5 million dollar countersuit
against Bell, whom Snoop accused of extorting him. Snoop maintained his innocence
sued for punitive damages and prevention of future threats.
M-1 of dead prez
announced the release of his upcoming solo album Confidential while
hosting the annual Black August concert Sunday (August 7) in New York City.
“I’m bringing a lot of my family,” M-1 told the crowd. “Down
south and Texas, I got Bun B and Scarface coming,” he said of his album’s
guest appearances. The Brooklyn rapper also added D-Block’s Styles P to the
features list and his "Brooklyn family." No release date has been
set yet.
Dogg Pound member Daz is preparing to release a new album aimed
at professional producers and aspiring musicians titled Samplin’ to
the Beat of the Drum. The album is collection of drum beats made for sampling.
The album also features additional drum work by Dion Neuble. Samplin’
to the Beat of the Drum hits stores September 6. Daz is currently in the

Kimora Lee Simmons
pleaded guilty to careless driving in Bergen County Superior Court, yesterday
(August 9). The plea stems from a July 2004 incident in which Simmons allegedly
ignored a police officer attempting to pull her over. Simmons must serve six
months of probation and will enter a pretrial intervention program for non-violent
first time offenders. The model/Baby Phat designer also faced drug possession
charges after authorities found marijuana in the vehicle.
