(AllHipHop News) Akon has been hit with a bill for $165,000 for allegedly failing to pay his rent.

The “Locked Up” singer reportedly leased space on the 66th floor of the Empire State Building in New York from GTFM executives for his fashion line Aliaune Milano.

According to legal documents, he agreed in July 2012 to pay $25,000 for the rental and he kept up with the payments until July 2015, when he allegedly stopped.

GTFM officials claim he moved out in January 2016, by which point he owed almost seven months’ worth of rent.

They filed a lawsuit against the R&B star to reclaim the money but he never responded, so a judge has issued a default judgment of $164,787.
