Tha Alkaholiks have inked a deal with Waxploitation/IMusic/BMG and are preparing to release a new album Firewater.”On this record we’re going back to our roots,” producer E-Swift said. “This one is for the longtime fans. It will be sort of a celebration of our 10 years out there.”Firewater will be Tha Liks’ 5th album in ten years. The group has worked with such artists as Nas, The Loot Pack, Busta Rhymes, Xzibit, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, King Tee, Kurupt and others.”We’re thrilled,” Waxploitation CEO Jeff Antebi added. “I think Tha Liks are putting out an album that will hit a chord with not just loyal fans, but also kids in the action sports world, video game world and import car culture. There’s an unlimited number of ways to promote this group. And hip-hop needs a party record right away. That’s for sure.”Firewater is slated for a May 2004 release date.
