Azealia Banks Calls Beyonce a Thief, Scrutinizes Singer’s Message On “Lemonade”

Beyonce’s recently released album Lemonade has been receiving it’s fair share of praise and criticism for its messages regarding pride for black women as well as the pop star’s situation with her husband, rapper Jay-Z.  Banks, once again, makes an attempt to troll Bey not only by scrutinizing the overall message of Lemonade, but also calling her an outright “thief.” Banks’ Twitter spree, at first, started out fairly positive by acclaiming the album. That’s before she came across the controversial Piers Morgan article on Daily Mail, which critiques Lemonade because of its political content possibly being used as a ploy to sell the visual project. Banks soon tweeted that her support for the article, and that’s when she started to get more vocal on the topic. Soon after tweeting the article, Banks soon started to show her skeptic thoughts about both Beyonce’s album and her lack of officially speaking on these issues. The Slay-Z rapper called out the singer’s high ticket prices for her Formation tour, which is set to start later this month, as well as believing that Beyonce “steps on the spirits of the girls who come after them and try to take that spirit” through Lemonade and even the initial release of “Formation.” https://twitter.com/AZEALIABANKS/status/724674111960715264 https://twitter.com/AZEALIABANKS/status/724678554512941057 The rapper wasn’t done, to further show her scrutiny (or hate) for Beyonce, Banks followed up by shaming the pop star for her perpetuation of a sad black woman in Lemonade, mainly using of Bey’s decision to spotlight her marital situation with Jay Z.
