BabyGrande Records
has announced a partnership with Wu-Tang affiliate Dreddy Kruger and his Think
Differently Music Group.
Together they are planning three immediate releases. Coming
first will be an album pairing some of the Wu’s finest with numerous independent
artists called, Think Differently Music: Wu-Tang meets the Indie Culture.
The unique album will feature appearances from RZA, GZA, Ras
Kass, MF Doom, Masta Killa, Del the Funky Homosapien, Littles, J-Live, Tragedy
Khadafi, Sunz of Man, Aesop Rock and others.
"I learned how to make albums…the whole process of putting
a record together directly from the RZA and Schott Free (Loud Records),"
says Dreddy. "It feels good to finally have my own situation to bring my
conceptual thinking to Hip-Hop and I look forward to working with BabyGrande
to make it happen."
The second release will be a solo album from occasional Wu producer
Bronze Nazareth, which will be followed up by a release from La The Darkman/Embassy
Entertainment.
Recently, Kruger has done A&R work for Masta Killa and on
the Black Market Militia album.
Think Differently Music: Wu-Tang meets the Indie Culture
will hit stores on October 18. The first single is called "Biochemical
Equation" and features the RZA and MF Doom.
