(AllHipHop News) There have been a lot of reports about Bryan “Birdman/Baby” Williams and his Cash Money Records label allegedly
not properly paying artists and producers. While speaking with Ebro Darden for Beats 1 Radio, Birdman discussed his company’s acts making money.
“Look at Forbes [Hip-Hop Cash Kings List]. All my artists are on Forbes. Outta five, we’re four of them,” said Williams. “Me and my son [Lil Wayne] have our differences, and that sh-t’s going to iron itself out. But still, I gave that man a $100 million contract.”
He added, “Now Drake’s getting hundreds of millions of dollars. Nicki’s getting… I mean what part of the game am I missing? These people are well, they’re straight. N-ggas gonna hate, but f-ck it.”
Birdman (#12, $20 million), Wayne (#17, $15.5 million), Drake (#2, $94 million) and Nicki Minaj (#16, $16 million) were all included on the 2017 Forbes Hip-Hop list. The conversation with Ebro also included Baby addressing the Apple Music documentary Before Anythang: The Cash Money Story.
