A Nevada judge ordered Blueface to pay $13.1 million to Euphoric Gentlemen’s Club in Las Vegas. According to KLAS, the controversial artist must cover $12.6 in lost revenue plus damages stemming from his involvement in a 2022 shooting outside of the strip club.
Euphoric’s owner sued Blueface after the strip club was forced to close due to the rapper shooting a man outside of the venue. The owner said the club’s licenses were revoked “as a direct result” of Blueface’s negligence and reckless conduct.
Blueface, whose real name is Johnathan Porter, was originally charged with attempted murder in the Las Vegas shooting. A plea deal reduced his charges to battery and discharging a firearm at or into an occupied structure.
Earlier this month, a different judge sentenced Blueface to probation for the shooting. The victim, Kentabius Traylor, was frustrated by the sentence.
“I’m just completely disappointed in this complete process, actually,” Traylor said at Blueface’s sentencing. “From the D.A. to his representation to him to everything, it’s just all been a complete drop of the ball on my end. I have completely lost faith in the justice system. This crime has done nothing but take a toll on my life since the day it happened. I haven’t been able to get work. Everything has gone down the drain.”
Blueface received a suspended sentence of 24 to 60 months. He avoided fines in the criminal case.
