Boosie Hopes To Lead Democrats To Victory By Casting His First-Ever Vote In Crucial Runoff Election

Rapper Boosie made a political statement earlier today (January 5th) by voting for the first time in his life.

The wheel-chair bound rapper, who is still recovering after being shot in the leg on his birthday (November 14th, 2020), decided to participate in the Georgia runoff election by casting his vote.

“If I’m voting everybody need to vote. I’ve been watching that runoff, I’m fiittin’ to vote man. That man fittin’ to change some s***. I’m telling y’all I’m voting for Warnock,” Boosie said as he wheeled himself into his local polling place.

The rapper voted for Reverend Raphael Warnock, who is attempting to best Republican Senator Kelly Loeffler in one of two key contests happening today.

“My first time ever voting. I’ve been watching the runoffs and I just feel like me coming out here will inspire a lot of people to go vote,” Boosie said. I feel like Warnock going to do some things that’s on my mind also, so I feel like my vote will matter. I just want to see more of my African-American people coming out here and vote. I’d like to see more of that. I’m looking out here and I don’t see a lot of that so I think more African Americans need to come vote because we have it harder as a race and if we want to make change we got to vote.”

Republican Senator David Perdue is attempting to win a second term against Democratic candidate John Ossoff. The elections are critical. If the Democrats win both contests, the party will take control of the Senate away from the Republicans.

The Dems would have control of the House of Representatives and the Senate. A win would make Democratic President Joe Biden’s job much easier to govern the country as he prepares to be sworn in on January 20th.
