Fans of Boot Camp Clik will finally get to hear
material that the group recorded with the late Tupac Shakur. "Military
Minded" will see the light of day on Pac’s latest posthumous double CD
release, Better Dayz.
The song is one of several that Shakur, who
is the biggest selling rapper of all time, recorded with BCC for the unreleased
and highly anticipated One Nation album. Pac recorded the One Nation
album with an all star cast of hip-hop artists before he passed away. Unfortunately
until now, the material has sat on the shelves.
"The song will have a new beat than the
one that was leaked on Makaveli and other street mixtapes," Duck Down CEO
Dru Ha told AllHipHop.com. "But the original vocals were all left in tact.
This marks the official launch of the works that Boot Camp Clik did with Tupac."
The first single from the 20 song Better Dayz
album is “Thugz Mansion,” and features R&B singer Anthony Hamilton,
who also sings the chorus on Nappy Roots’ “Po’ Folks."
The album also features guest appearances from
The Outlawz, Trick Daddy, Nas, Ron Isley and others. Better
Dayz hits shelves on Tuesday, November
26. Boot Camps latest The Chosen Few is in stores now.
