Cardi B Previews New Single “Cartier Cardi” For Fans In The U.K.

(AllHipHop News) Cardi B gave her U.K. fans a sneak preview of the follow-up to her hit song “Bodak Yellow” at a show in Manchester, England over the weekend. The rapper teased her new song “Cartier Cardi” during a performance at the city’s Victoria Warehouse, where she took to the stage alongside Tinie Tempah, and Panda hitmaker Desiigner. According to website Capital XTRA, the Billboard chart-topping rapper teased the follow-up single to her hit song, a solo effort with no feature artists, to the audience before performing it for the first time at the Disturbing Manchester event. During an interview with Capital XTRA DJ Manny Norte last week, Cardi revealed the name of the new song and its December 15th release date, and joked about her forthcoming output: “Maybe I’ll drop two.” The track will feature on the Bronx rapper’s upcoming debut studio album, which is set for release next year. But it appears Cardi, real name Belcalis Almanzar, is making slow progress, despite the runaway success of her hit song. The 25-year-old hinted at the intense pressure she is feeling as she prepares to drop her new music. “Some people love me and a lot don’t,” she sighed. “So it’s like.. it’s got to be good. I have deadline and it will be coming out in January,” she confirmed, before she added, “I have three good songs right now.” In the meantime, the Christian Louboutin-loving rapper has been testing the waters by teasing fans with several snippets of unreleased songs.
