(AllHipHop News) Some people wonder why Cardi B didn’t cancel her upcoming Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival appearances after announcing she’s pregnant. The reason could be the amount of money involved with the event.
Cardi did an interview with SiriusXM’s Hip Hop Nation where she talked about the popular Indio, California function. The conversation included the “Be Careful” rapper discussing her pay scale for the fest.
“We been booked Coachella like six months, seven months ago. I’m getting paid for Coachella like 70 bandos a day,” said Cardi. “I have to invest so much money on my stage set – my own money, I gotta go to Wells Fargo and write a check – that it’s crazy. It’s almost 300 thou.”
She added, “It’s an investment. You gotta take that to the chin. But it’s like, ‘Damn it. Right after I just finished paying my damn taxes.'”
Coachella is scheduled for April 13-15 and April 20-22. Besides Cardi, the lineup also includes Beyoncé, Eminem, SZA, Migos, Post Malone, Vince Staples, and Tyler, The Creator.
