(AllHipHop News) Chance the Rapper and his ex-girlfriend have come to an agreement in their ongoing custody battle.
Unlike some other hip-hop dramas that have played out in the public’s eyes, Chance and his ex Kirsten Corley have reached an amicable agreement.
“This case ended quickly because of the unusually high level of cooperation between the parents putting their child’s best interest first,” said Enrico J. Mirabelli, attorney for Kirsten Corley.
The case started in February 2016, when Corley filed documents to confirm that Chance was the father, and to establish child support payments.
The rapper was forced to address the issue, after reports began circulating that he was withholding his wealth, now that he has gained fame as a Grammy Award-winning independent artist.
“Just a friendly reminder: don’t let anybody get between you and your family. Don’t be afraid of what people are saying about you. Do your job and everything will be fine,” the rapper said via Instagram.

Although the financial details of their settlement has been ordered to be kept confidential, Chance himself has revealed a little bit about his income over the past several months.
In addition to acquiring a good portion of his income from his successful merchandising business, Chance said that Apple paid him $500,000 to have the exclusive rights to his album Coloring Book, for two weeks.
