(AllHipHop News) Two of the leading Hip Hop artists from Chicago linked up for a song. G Herbo dropped the deluxe edition of his 2017 Humble Beast album in February which included an appearance from Chance The Rapper.
The two Midwest representatives recently got together to film a music video for “Everything (Remix).” Beats 1’s Ebro Darden caught up with Chano and Herbo to talk about their collaboration.
“Just collaborating with big bro is an honor. For the city, it gives hope,” said Herb. “You’re able to see what Chance is doing for the city firsthand. You’re able to see what I’m doing for the city firsthand. We need to start doing it more, just bringing the city together.” Chance The Rapper added, “I was always inspired by him and inspired by [Lil] Bibby.”
G Herbo explained the new version of “Everything” started with just a request to get the Coloring Book creator as a cameo in the original record’s video with Lil Uzi Vert. At the time of the Ebro interview, both emcees were filming visuals for the remix.
Ebro also asked Chance about his next album, and the Grammy winner revealed he’s been working with Young Thug, Donald Glover (Childish Gambino), and Francis And The Lights. He also admitted, “In my new raps, I be talking about ass a lot.”
Additionally, Herbo confirmed his sophomore album Swervo is on the way. The project is being produced exclusively by Atlanta beat maker Southside.
