(AllHipHop News) The two men accused of murder in the shooting death of rapper BTY YoungN will escape charges in the killing.
Kyron Williams and Darryl Bannister were charged with second-degree murder for the death of BTY YoungN, who was shot and killed at a Shell gas station in New Orleans last April.
Even though cell phone was retrieved at the murder scene with Bannister’s fingerprints on it, prosecutors did not have enough proof to take the case to trial.
Bannister stated he was at a party when BTY Young’N was executed and could not have been the gunman.
To complicate the case, Bannister told detectives that his phone was stolen from him while he was at the same function the evening of the murder.
“Based upon the totality of evidence available, we decided it was not prudent to proceed to trial at this time,” said Ken Daley, a spokesman for District Attorney Leon Cannizzaro’s office.
