New Orleans rapper Choppa has left Master P.’s No Limit Records and inked a deal with boxing champ Roy Jones Jr.’s Body Head Entertainment.Choppa is recording the first of the 5 albums he must deliver to Jones’ label.”I am putting out music on artists that I believe in [and] Choppa is one those artists,” Jones said. “But it doesn’t stop there. I’ve signed artists from California to New Jersey to Pensacola and they all can hold their own with the best of the best in many genres. Good music is good music, no matter what and Body Head is not just a label that will showcase my talent.”Jones said that he was building his business based on the same philosophy he used to become a boxing champion- staying versatile.”Just because a fighter is short or doesn’t fight the style I fight doesn’t mean he can’t be the champ,” Jones said. “In music, just because an artist style is different from the norm doesn’t mean he can’t be a star.”The debut untitled release from Choppa is due in March of 2004.Jones is currently preparing his sophomore project, which is due in 2004 and will be the second release for Body Head Entertainment.
