(AllHipHop News) Common was sporting a black eye at the annual Oscars Nominees Luncheon in Beverly Hills on Monday, after a basketball tussle.
The rapper and actor, who is up for a second Best Original Song Academy Award for his Diane Warren collaboration “Stand Up for Something” from the film “Marshall,” tried to hide the shiner behind thick dark-rimmed spectacles but eventually had to reveal all as reporters noticed the bruised and partially closed eye.
“I got beaten up on the basketball court this weekend,” he said, showing the media cell phone photos of what his face looked like immediately after the injury and joking he was briefly concussed.
